Because of COVID-19 restrictions, athletes were not available for interviews after the Hayward Premiere, the first meet in new Hayward Field. So we went to social media to see what they thought.
They posted about personal bests and qualifying for the Olympic trials:
They appreciated the amenities of the new stadium, with Oregon’s Alessia Zarbo summed up the experience on her Instagram post by writing, “The first time is unique because you don’t get it twice.”
