After the first day of the Pac-12 outdoor track and field at Hayward Field, with seven events being scored, Oregon and Washington stand on top.
The Oregon men’s team, with 28 points, has a one-point lead on Stanford. The Ducks got a huge boost in men’s javelin, with three of their throwers finishing in the top five.
On the women’s side, Washington has a surprising lead, finishing day one in first with 36 points. Washington got most of their points from women’s pole vault, having top-two finishes to get 21 points.
